Swimsuits from Cancun 2020

Getting back to reality after a wonderful week away in Cancun with friends has been rough! Blakely got sick the day after we got home. So it was lots of snuggles, laundry, unpacking, grocery shopping, etc. HALLELUJAH for grocery delivery.

Can I get an amen?!

Anyway, I had several people reach out asking for links to suits I was wearing. So I thought I would link that quickly. I will leave descriptions under the pictures describing fit, etc. I hope this is helpful!

This top was one of the online suits I order from Dokifans. I loved the tops but most bottoms didn't fit quite right. Lots of the styles I ordered were "cheeky" which basically means your bum hangs out more than normal. Ha! I actually like this look, but knew I would want a bit more coverage with the kids around and tugging at me.

I am a big fan of mixing and matching suits, so I didn't mind the bottoms not fitting perfectly - the suits on this site sell together so if you order a large, both the bottom and top are large. And I find I often need a different size top and bottom. Another great thing about this site for suits is that the price is great! So I wasn't overly stressed buying suits because I knew I wasn't dropping more dough than necessary.

Anywho, I paired the top from Dokifans with floral bottoms from Rad Swim. I love this bottom! And it's also reversible. I also got it with the peplum top a few years ago, but never loved the top. I LOVE the cut and style of the top. I do not like the bra pads that cannot be removed. I always feel the shape looked odd on me. (I always prefer to remove the bra pads.) But this suit is really great quality!

This straw sun visor was worn almost 24-7. I felt like my brows (which were recently micorbladed - blog coming soon) were completely protected from the sun and I love that the back has velcro so you can make it at tight as you want. This may seem random, but I also really like to have my hair off of my neck when I'm hot and in the blazing sun. So I loved that this hat allowed me to put my hair completely up in a high pony and get it off of my face and neck. I seriously felt like me entire face was protected from the sun! It was great. I highly recommend this hat.

These Prada sunglasses were a Valentines gift from Tooth this year. I love, love the detail on them!

Dokifan top -  straw sun visor

Same straw sun visor here. Lived in this thing! It also got wet multiple times and held up perfectly! These heart-shaped sunglasses are a hit! I get so many compliments on these babies. Haha. I have red and black - they're so much fun! Blakely also has the kids heart-shaped sunglasses. So cute.

This pink bikini top was from another set. I love the color and the ruffle straps! I paired this top with high-waisted black rushed bottoms from Amazon. I love these bottoms because they obviously can go with any top and they aren't the "cheeky" style. So more of my bum is covered!

Here I am wearing a black top from another set. I paired it with floral bottom from Rad Swim - linked above. This top is so fun! I saw someone at the pool wearing the white version and it was so cute. This black top came with black bottoms - but they were super cheeky so I opted for the floral bottoms for the beach day.

Again the heart-shaped sunglasses and fedora beach hat. Highly recommend both!

This kimono is so lightweight and pretty! I also always travel with a beach bag to carry around all the toys, sunscreen, etc. I love a bag like this because it's waterproof and also lightweight and super easy to pack! These Tory Burch flip flops are a must! I wear them out and replace them when needed - haha. I love them and always reach for them.

Also:

Blakely's sunglasses are my favorite! And shocker, they got broken on this trip. Sad. But I ordered another (similar) pair. They are honestly so dang cute! And this mermaid swimsuit was SO SO much fun for her and Quinn. They had matching mermaid suits and tails - what kid dreams are made of! Haha.

Also:
 kimono

Other links to things I took on trip and *loved*:

studded flat sandals - so comfy!

pom pom cover up - have this in a few colors
retro round sunnies

So much fun and wonderful memories made. Grateful mama.

Family Trip to Mexico!

After our trip to Mexico to celebrate our anniversary, Tim and I decided we couldn't wait to take the kids. Also, Tim was getting surgery on his pec so we knew he would be out of work for a few weeks and thought it was good timing to get away. This trip was somewhat spontaneous and it was SO much fun planning this and surprising the kids with this trip.

Once again, I tricked Tooth into getting pictures taken on the beach (see our trip in in April HERE). Ya know, since it was the kids first time to Mexico (and out of the country) we had to document it. :)

I love, love these photos and can't believe how big my babies are getting! This trip was 11 days - so we really got to settle in and relax. Ryder is so motivated to learn how to swim! And Blake was SUPER excited to get some braids in her hair (a childhood dream of mine haha).

So, so grateful for trips together. I do not take these adventures for granted. I love this little family of mine.

Family Trip to Arizona!!

Palm trees. They call my name! If I am in the presence of palm trees, I'm a happy camper! (Unless I'm actually camping. Then chances are, I'm not happy.) One of my best friends moved her little family to AZ about a year ago and I am still in denial about it. My friend Heather and I (who I now live two doors down from - is this real life?!?!) were devastated when Britt told us they were moving. But we've done our best to visit frequently and it's been a lot of fun!

Heather text me one day asking if Tim and I would be interested in joining them on a family trip to AZ and taking all the kids. And DUH, yes. So two minutes later the entire trip was booked. Ha. Mark (Heather's hubby) found the most amazing rental property in north Scottsdale! He did all the work and wowsa, did he do a great job! The home was perfect. Plenty of space for both families and we even brought along our sitter (and wonderful friend!), Kendra.

The home we rented had a huge kitchen with two separate wings, so we all had plenty of space and room for the kids to have successful nap time while the older kids could play! Plus, there was a heated (and gated) pool in the backyard. Score! We also had a trampoline, a play-set for the kids and a tennis court. It was basically heaven. And added bonus that the home was gorgeous and legit looked like Joanna Gaines decorated it.

We spent our time swimming, BBQing, playing, chatting, drinking, shopping. It was perfect. Heather, Britt and I had a morning at the Omni Hotel Spa - it was fabulous. Lunch in robes by the pool with mimosas. Hour long massage and time with my fav gals. So good for the soul. The guys spent a couple early mornings golfing and I'm pretty sure all three hubby's were in heaven! That night we took our entire crew out to a pizza dinner. Lots of food, spilled drinks (toddlers, eh), candy, laughing and fun. LGO Pizzeria in Arcadia is sooo good.

Since we brought along our sitter, we tried to get out a little bit everyday to get some adult time and catch up. We had breakfast and coffee at The Henry - which is darling! And of course we spent some time shopping at the Fashion Square Mall kid free. Heather and I were so excited to go to Zara to get some goodies for the girlies! :) And Britt is pregnant with her third baby - a girl!

The last full day we had in AZ we decided to take the kiddies to the McCormick Train Park. It was so cute and the kids had a BLAST! We grabbed salads for the adults at Wildflower and ate picnic style with all seven kids. It was wonderful. That evening, the adults snuck out for one last dinner at Olive and Ivy and that place is freaking cute. We sat on the patio drinking cocktails and laughing like always. I already praying we can repeat this wonderful trip next year!

Honestly, the best family trip we've taken! Tim and I are so grateful to have such wonderful friends - traveling together is just a bonus! :) We can't wait for more fun family memories like this.

All of these photos were taken on my iPhone and are unedited.
Unless they were edited through Insta stories, etc.
The kids were so excited for the trip and talked about it pretty much every second of the day for an entire week beforehand. Ha.
I always give my kids suckers when we're landing!
Hungry after a morning of travel - of course we had to stop by In-n-Out! YUM
The kids were so funny playing "crack the egg" and running around! Brought back a lot of my own childhood memories.
FINALLY! SWIMMMMMMING!!!
Kendra was wonderful with all the kids! Having her there was soooo worth it. It made all of us feel more comfortable knowing there was another set of eyes on all these kids! And she played with them ALL from the second they woke up, until the second they went to bed at night. We also had time to hang together. You know, like braiding hair and watching the Bachelor - seriously!
Spa time!!
This is in Britt's new backyard. They just renovated this house and it's awesome! The backyard is a dream. Kid heaven.
The three amigos! Sheesh I love them.
Similar tops here and here.
Lots of questions about our tops on Insta - Heather's is current and from H&M. Mine is from Nord but older. My earrings are new and so much fun! Love them - and they aren't heavy!
At the train park. They couldn't freaking wait to ride the train!
This is Graham. Ryder is convinced that Graham is his cousin. Bahaha. It's so funny. Heather and I met when we were both pregnant with these boys - and they turn FIVE this year. Whaaaat??!?! They're so big and the cutest buddies.
"MOM!! Watch this!!! Did you see me put my head under?!" HAHAHAA Silly kid. Swimming is gonna be a challenge with this guy. But at least he's floating on his own and not clinging onto my back for dear life anymore.
The kids. Minus Crew (who was sleeping - he's 5 months old) and the "pink baby" in Britt's belly. (Blakely was confused why she didn't get to see and hold Britt's baby - lol. Pregnancy is hard to explain!) And TJ was unable to join us on this trip. :(
Our last few pics at the house before we had to head back home - to SNOW!
Wonderful memories on this trip. So glad Mark and Heather asked us to join them on this fun family vacay. Can't wait til next time!
