Hey guys! How fun is this "I Donut Care" sweater? It's so much fun. Ryder loves this shirt. ;) I found this gem at Francesca's and knew I wasn't going to leave there without it! I love simple outfits like this on casual days. This lightweight jacket was a steal from Forever 21 a while ago. I will link similar looks below. All of these pieces are great basics that I'm always reaching for.
Our house is currently in chaos. We got home Sunday evening from our road trip to Utah and the kits were beat. We all were, actually. Monday morning we woke up to painters and construction at the house. We were planning on breaking the renovation on the main floor into two phases so it wasn't too overwhelming, but we made a last minute decision on Monday morning to go ahead and do it all at once! We are getting cabinets painted, and it's smelly and areas of the house are tapped off. I am SO beyond excited to get these projects started (and finished!) I can't even find the words to explain it to you guys! We have been in our home for almost six years and we're finally getting to the really FUN stuff I've been dreaming of since 2011. YAY!
But it's been a bit overwhelming with all this starting semi unexpectedly and coming off a road trip. The laundry is coming out of my ears and the whining and crying from two exhausted toddlers who are so confused about the strangers in our home making noise and messing up where their toys are is reallllllly getting to me. And we're on day three. LOL Good luck, Stef.
I can't wait to show you guys before and after photos of this process, but for now I am showing bits and pieces on my Insta Story if you're interested. To top all this chaos off, Tooth is out of town this weekend (headed to a dental convention). Pffft.
Lots of sales right now. Click on the images below to shop!
Hey guys! I got this new tote I've been debating about for a loooong time. I don't know why I was so hesitant?! I decided YOLO! ;) I freaking love this tote so much. Of course I'm obsessed with the color, but it's also huge and I can fit so much stuff in it. It's reversible (bonus!) and the material is great. I highly recommend this bag! It comes in another color that I will also link below. I'm hoping they make it in more colors for fall/winter.
This shirt was once a dress (lol) but it seems to have shrunk over time and is def too short for me to wear without anything underneath it now! It's so comfortable and easy. I'm linking similar shift dresses below that can be worn as dresses or tops.
It's taken me a while to get on the gladiator sandal bandwagon. I just couldn't do it. But OMG, I love these sandals so much! They go with everything and make a very casual outfit feel a bit dressed up. You can wear these with a super casual outfit (like I am here) or dress it up with summer dresses, skirts, etc. Totally worth it!
My best friend got me this amazing necklace for my birthday recently and I can't get enough of it! This exact necklace isn't currently available (dang it!!) but I am linking similar ones below that are equally amazing.
I've started to wear longer shorts and no longer feel comfortable in short-shorts! A sign of getting old?! UGH. But aint nobody wants to see more than necessary these days. LOL I gravitate toward looser shorts that are a bit longer. What's up with young teen (and even college aged) chicks wearing TIIIIIGHT ass short-shorts?! Ew. I swear if Blakely tries to pull that shit on me, I will lock her in her room! Leave something to the imagination, girls!! Geez. If we can see the crease mark between your butt cheek and your thigh... We've got problems. Eye roll. Gross. Just don't. I don't care if you're 17 and have no hail damage. Just put some real shorts on and keep your butt cheeks covered! Am I the only one that feels this way about skin tight shorts?! #imold
Speaking of Blake. Her 1st birthday is coming up and... I just can't. I can't hardly look at her without wanting to burst into tears! I can not believe how fast this year has gone. We have had so much fun with her and it's hard to remember life without her! I don't know why I've been so emotional about her growing up. I love watching my kids grow, change and learn. But, why does it happen so fast?!?! Heaven help me. I just need to get a long, hard cry out. It'll feel better once I do. I hate crying! I don't know why I can't let go. I just let it build up and build up. So then when I finally BURST into tears it's usually not very pretty. HA!
I've been a big ball of emotions lately. This is new for me. I never used to feel much and was a solid rock - not healthy. Anywho, I'm just feeling so many feelings!!!! Ahhhh. One of my best friends is moving to AZ this weekend. I'm heart broken. My brother just had his first baby. My first blood nephew or niece! I am so excited for them and dying to see little Jackson (they live in San Fran, so I won't meet him for a few more weeks). My babies both have birthdays this month and I'm irritated that I can't freeze time. I recently started a new workout (that I'm loving!) but old knee injuries are bugging me and I feel my body aching and popping in ways it never used to. I feel 21. Why doesn't my body act like it did in it's 21-year-old pre-baby-making days?!
Sometimes I feel silly and/or embarrassed to feel emotional over things that may be insignificant in the long run (or even the short run). But I've realized that feelings are just feelings and people are allowed to feel sad or happy or whatever the F they want. And it's ok. Just ask Juan Pablo. He knows the drill. "It's OK!" ;)
Happy Friday! I'm loving easy outfits I can throw on. I'm totally crushing on this plaid shirtdress from Denver Street Boutique. My exact dress is sold out (dang it!) but I linked similar ones I am loving below. These dresses are so easy and fun to throw on. I love outfits that require little to no thought!
I have these flip flops (and this reversible tote!) in two colors. Love both of these items and always reach for them. The flip flops are a bit of a splurge, but so worth it. It's an easy way to feel a bit more dressed up, while still being very comfortable. I wear my nude version of this flip flop allllll the time.
My monogram necklace, watch and bracelet are all linked below. I have worn these and talked about them before, so you know how much I love these items! This monogram necklace is such a fun gift to give someone for a wedding gift, birthday gift, etc.
Had a couple people ask me about false lashes I love. I don't wear them regularly, but love the added pop of lashes when going out! Would you guys like for me to write about brands and styles of false lashes I love wearing that won't break the bank?? Would love to know what you guys are interested in. Just let me know and I'll try to answer questions and link items I love! XO
Seriously loving the cool, fall weather today! I got some questions about this sweater when I posted pictures about my collaboration with Freshly Picked. This sweater is so comfy! Who doesn't love oversized, comfortable sweaters in the fall/winter?! These are the same jeans I wore in my last post. Where I recommended getting them a little big so you can really move around in them with your kiddos. I love having realistic pieces I can dress up or down depending on where I'm going. And have I mentioned I love blue?! :) These heels are some of my favs. Hope you're all enjoying the cooler weather today!
Hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July! We got a late start today thanks to a very late night watching fireworks. But Ryder loved it! Staying up past bedtime is a rare occurrence for him and I think he enjoyed hanging with the "big kids".
This outfit is so simple and easy. This dress is a go-to for me lately! It's not maternity, which I usually don't gravitate towards, especially at this point in pregnancy. But it's so comfy and it's long enough that I don't feel like I have to tug at it to stay in place and cover what it needs to cover! I've also been loving tying thin sweaters or button ups around my waist (hmm... I guess that isn't my "waist", is it?! HA!) lately. I love this style and having the option to throw this on if I get chilly in the evenings. But who am I kidding? I'm rarely "chilly" these days! :-D
I love this necklace I got it ages ago from Stella and Dot. I feel like it's so casual and goes with everything! Same goes for these glasses. I have a love affair with aviators and these always match no matter what I'm wearing.
And this tote... I love it! It's reversible, so you get two bags in one, which I love. I have this bag in two colors and grab them all the time when I don't need everything in my diaper bag or I am running errands without Ryder.
I was checking out at Target today and the woman helping me took one look at me and said "WOAH!! Are you past your due date?! You look like you're about to pop!" Ummm... No! I am not past my due date, but THANKS for that boost of confidence! LOL She went on and on about how I must be sooo uncomfortable and I'm probably "gonna get a LOT bigger" because you gain "SO much more in the last month". Ugh, really?! HUSH IT, lady! Aside from the heat, I actually feel pretty good. I've been able to get decent sleep most nights and try to stay in the A/C when possible. My biggest struggle is keeping up with my Ryder man. He's a busy-body and he's heavy! So carrying him around is hard on my body. But I actually feel pretty good for the most part.
My emotions have been all over the place this pregnancy. A lot of the time I felt like "OMG, this is never going to end!" But now that I am so close to the end, I'm getting kinda sad that it's going to be over before we know it. I really do love being pregnant (even though some parts of it SUUUUCK) and I think there is no cuter accessory than a baby bump. I LOVE feeling her move in there and I think pregnancy is the coolest thing ever. I also love bitty babies and can't wait to snuggle my little girl. Ohhhh, the baby snuggles. Is there anything better?!
I got a mani/pedi this afternoon and the lady next to me had a 6 month old sitting in her lap while she got her pedi. This squishy little boy was so adorable! He was so giggly and snuggly and it took everything in me to not BEG this woman to let me hold and cuddle her baby haha! He was so cute and OMG I just looooove babies. I never asked to hold him. Instead I just sat there for about 45 minutes starring at him and smiling like an idiot. I think I was kinda creeping her out but I seriously couldn't look away. LOL I can't wait to meet this baby girl and just the thought of smelling her sweet baby skin, kissing her chubby cheeks and dressing her in cute pink clothes makes me smile like a fool. Less than a month left! Yahooo!
I’ve been struggling with the heat this past week! It makes a HUGE difference when you’re in the last months of pregnancy! Yikes. I’ve been pulling my hair up into a messy bun or ballerina bun almost every day just to stay cool. I love these leggings and chambray top because they are so cool. And I can easily take off the chambray top and just wear my tank underneath if I get too hot. This is an easy outfit for me to wear while chasing a very busy toddler!
I was laughing so hard when I saw these pics becase sometimes I forget JUST how big this bump is. LOL I swear I don’t think I can get any bigger and then – BAM! This belly gets bigger! I’m loving feeling her move and now Tim can easily SEE her moving around in there and I love that. I really can’t believe she’s going to be here so soon!! AHHHH… I’m so excited but also having a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that I will be a mom to TWO little ones. And a GIRL. I still can’t believe it! I can’t wait to see Tooth with her and just the thought melts me. I don’t think he realizes how much she’s going to have him wrapped around her finger ☺
I've had some questions about how I do my chunky side braids and what i'm doing to get them so full. I am still learning how to video, edit and post videos onto my blog, but I'm working on it! For now, here is a quick video showing how I do my braid and how I pull it out at the end to make it look really full. Hope this helps for now!
