Stop Saving It

These kids are too dang cute. I feel like they have the cutest wardrobes, but most the time they are in mismatched pjs, messy hair and covered in marker, food or dirt? Ha. Toddler life is tough, guys. So I love taking the time every now and then to get them dressed and ready. I also hate that I feel like I need a "special" occasion for them to look put together and I kind of save their best outfits for an important occasion that never seems to happen anyway.

Tell me I'm not the only one who does this?? I do it for myself, big time! Always "saving" things for a better day. But with kids I feel like I do it even more! Because I know they'll get dirty, etc. And the thing that really sucks is when I finally go to put them in something I've been saving and then I realize they've grown out of it! Gah. #firstworldproblems

I always tell myself to stop saving things. Everyday is worth wearing cute outfits. Even if it ends up getting messy, hair gets pulled out of ponytail, etc. Anyway, nothing about these outfits is overly special or fancy. But it's just the fact that they are both clean, hair done, their outfits match... makes my heart happy. Real life is tough. LOL But I'm really trying to take the time to get the kids dressed (and myself!) in the things I "save" for more "important" days.

I will link their items below. Tons on sale!! I freaking love Blakes bows and she has this cardigan in three colors because they are easy to throw over tees and she also wears them over her leotards for ballet every Friday. You can see full outfit details for me here.

Blakely the Ballerina

This girl wakes up every morning and the first thing she demands is a tutu or a "pretty dress". I kinda love it. ;) She changes 4 times a day and it always carrying around her dance bag (aka her "pink dance purse"). So cute! We got this frill strap leotard from Flo Dancewear and omg. Is it not the cutest thing you've ever seen???

She also has several pairs of tights that she loves. I try to keep her from wearing tights every day because I'm overly paranoid about her spilling on them or ripping them. Ha! The little things I stress about. She has this adorable wrap skirt and of course the ballet shoes. I can't believe she's already grown out of her first pair of ballet shoes!! (Insert ugly cry.)

Ok, the posing. I can't. Hahaha. She's a ball of sass! :)
Get it, girl ;)

Blakely's "Pink Room"

This sweet girl. She jut kills me. When we moved into our new house, she started referring to her room as the "pink room". Haha. I love her. She had the same rug and bedding, but suddenly noticed it was pink and loves it! When she gets really sleepy she comes to me rubbing her eyes and in the cutest whiny/tired voice says mommy I want to go sweep in my pink bed. And it melts me.

In her previous room we had two huge built-in bookshelves that Tim made. So we actually really kept her room simple here. No bookshelves and I want to leave it all as-is for now. Because when she get's a big-girl bed (insert ugly cry face!!!!) I will probably revamp her room a bit. So for now, it's simple and clean. And I love it.

I had this tassel garland from her first birthday party and decided to put this above her dresser instead of doing a big collage wall again. Collage walls feel like such a commitment! LOL And I actually love how simple this area is. The only thing I plan on adding is this darling little piece from Modern Birch of her name. I can't wait to get it! I'm planning on putting it above the garland.

These kids go from looking out for one another and being the sweetest, to shoving the other one for looking at them. Yes. Ryder will push her just for looking at him. ???? But mooooooom. She's looking at me!!! I don't get it either, guys. They both go back and forth. And that's ok. They're learning to share and be kind. I reallllllly savor the moments when they are playing together and giggling at each other. Their little conversations kill me. They worry about each other and love sneaking off to the pantry to get snacks when no one is looking. ;) I have loved watching their relationship change and grow as they get older. I truly pray they are always buddies. (They are currently running around chasing each other and squealing as I write this. Best sound ever.)

Kiddies outfits and room deets are all linked below. xo

Blakely is holding her rattle here. It's so cute! It's great gift idea. I have her name and birthdate engraved on it. It's a beautiful keepsake!

Ryder's shirt - similar look here // Pants
(**Ryder's exact shirt was purchased from a shop on Etsy. I had the worst experience receiving the items I purchased! I do not want to mention company name, but I can't recommend the exact tee because it was not a smooth experience. I still haven't been refunded for items I purchased that I never received! This is the first time I have had a bad experience with an Etsy shop - and I'm an Etsy addict. But I will always be honest with you guys and never recommend something I don't actually love.)

The measure growth chart was made by my mom and I when Ryder was little! Similar here.

Kiddie Fall Style

I love getting pictures of the kiddies taken in this phase of life. The kids are changing so much right now. I already look back at photos from just six months ago and can't believe how much they've changed! And these little fall outfits they're in, I can't handle the cuteness! :) Blakely's leopard shoes are a favorite of mine. This is the second pair I've had of these leopard shoes for her because they are just too cute (and she's growing like a weed!). And Blakely's fur vest. I die.

Ryder is getting pickier about what he wears. He prefers shorts and all things comfy. Ha! He is my child. It's a struggle to get him in denim and anything other than short sleeve tees. But he's good about getting "dressed up" for school and church. But the second we get home, he changes. ;) Most of their outfits are from Old Navy and they are currently having a sale, so snag stuff while you can! You can shop my look here.
