Furry Shawl For The WIN

Hey guys! Hope you all had a fab Halloween! Tooth and I love this holiday and had so much fun trick or treating with neighbors. The kiddies were so cute in their costumes. GAH!!! I can hardly stand it. 

Anyway, I wore this outfit for a date night last week. All of these pieces are so comfortable. Have I mentioned comfort is a must for me?! ;-) These jeggings are everything. They have pockets on the booty, so I totally feel like they are considered "real" pants. Even though they are basically leggings! Ha. 

I'm not sure why, but I can't find this exact top online. But I am linking tons of similar style tops below that I love. These adorable tops are easy and flirty. #swoon 

These heels are a must! LOVE them so much. I also got a new bar necklace with my kiddies initials. Love it! I have a thing for bar necklaces (if you haven't noticed) but I really like the shape of this one and I got it in rose gold. I layer it with my diamond necklace Tooth surprised me with on our wedding day. 

This furry shawl gives me LIFE! It's so cozy and delish. Warning: Strangers will be tempted to rub on you while wearing this. LOL This is my go-to lip right now. In color 'Child Star'. Great neutral for fall and winter months!

Casual Black Dress + Must-Have Military Vest for Date Night

Casual outfit for a casual date night with my hubs! Sometimes we barely have the energy for date nights, but just getting a quick dinner together is so nice! I crave time alone with Tooth and love any amount of time we get together. We decided to squeeze in a sushi date night last week and... Heaven! I love early dinners in the summer time. Patios, drinks, sunshine and the cool evening breeze. The best. This outfit is so comfortable and easy. I actually wore this dress when I was massively pregnant, too! You can read that post HERE. So funny looking back at my big bump and revisiting how it felt to be so pregnant! 

I love mixing up my arm candy - and the bright colors!! This cross body RM bag is one of my favs. And these flips flops... I live in them.

Denver Style Magazine - Blog Contributor - June 2016

This is an outfit I wore for date night with my hubby. I wouldn't wear a top like this (or chunky earrings) while hanging with my kids. This is reserved for "adults only" nights! Most of the week I am in leggings, t-shirts and flip flops, so when I get the chance to be kid free and get a little dressed up, I'll take it!

How adorable is this peplum top from Denver Street Boutique!? I love the lace, the cute sleeves, the color, everything. It's so feminine and romantic. Perfect for date night! I paired it with a darker tank underneath, but you could always layer with a white tank as well. 

I am loving white jeans lately and this pair from Express is very stretchy and forgiving. So comfortable! I also live in these nude sandals (when I'm not wearing flip flops and pj's - ha!). Love them and they go with everything! I love a casual sandal like this with a heel. The heel makes me feel a bit dressed up, but still casual and not too formal - or uncomfortable! 

I bought this colorful clutch for my best friend last year... And then went back and bought the same one for myself! Ha! Anyone else do this when they're buying gifts for others?! "I'll take two. One for you and one for me!" Patterned clutches/bags are such a fun and easy way to add interest to outfits. I love date night when I can take advantage of not carrying around a huge bag on my shoulder!

Arm candy is a must. Duuuuh. I mix and match this Stella and Dot bracelet with almost everything. This bracelet is a must have for me. I also love these stretchy gold tassel bracelets for layering.  This blue bracelet (shown close-up below) is from Details Boutique in Downtown Littleton. If you haven't been there, you need to go! It's a larger boutique and they carry everything from women's clothes to baby clothes. Wine glasses to greeting cards. And accessories to cowboy boots! It's a darling little boutique you have to check out. 

My turquoise tassel earrings are a few years old, but I linked similar ones below. I love these earrings! I'm really into statement pieces (can you tell??) and I LOVE turquoise. People always ask me about these tassel earrings and multiple friends have borrowed them for special occasions (photo shoots, weddings, etc). I just miiiiight need to get another pair in a different color! I have a jewelry hoarding problem! OOPS. 

I have a handful of go-to dainty gold necklaces I wear on the reg. I linked these three below and never really take them off. I sleep in them, shower in them, etc. They haven't rusted or tarnished at all! I've worn my "Ryder" bar necklace since he was born (he's almost three). And I can't get enough of my simple "B" necklace for Blakely. So simple and cute.

Surprise Date Night!

Happy FRI-YAY!! Last weekend Tooth surprised me with a date night. It's been a while since we've had a one-on-one date, so we were really excited! He took me to Upstairs Circus, which I hadn't even heard of! Upstairs Circus is awesome and so worth trying. It's similar idea to Canvas and Cocktails only you are given multiple options of crafts you can do. The shop is SO cute and the house cocktails are adorable. I'm a sucker for a cocktail with a cute name! ;) 

We chose our individual crafts and got to work! We had so much fun!! Tooth told me it reminded him of labs in dental school and had lots of funny stories I've never heard. I highly recommend trying it out. I want to go back! Lots of chicks in there for sure. Tooth was one of two guys in the place! Major props to my hubby for surprising me on a date night he knew I'd enjoy and something that was totally out of his comfort zone. #browniepoints (A picture of our crafts is below.)

This sweater is so light and fun. I love the detail on the back! I love wearing plain tops so I can mix up the accessories. This clutch is a favorite of mine and of course I've been living in these nude heels. Love them! I got these jeans on clearance at Express and they are so comfortable! Super stretchy and high waisted (low waisted after having a baby is NOT OK). LOL

Here is a picture from our date night. Tim made/painted a bottle opener (shocker! Ha!) and I painted this Chanel perfume bottle. We had a lot of good laughs that night and now I get a reminder of this fun night every time I look at this painting! (It's hanging in my closet.)

Sequin Love Affair

Tell me I'm not alone with my obsession with sequins around the holidays! Can't get enough. I love this dress from Denver Street Boutique. I wish I had a better picture of the back (obviously you can't see it because of my jacket). The sequins are just on one panel in the front. So cute. And it's sleeveless so you have full range of motion to dance the night away!! LOL That is, if you wear this for a NYE party. Ha! Or, you know. You can just have a little dance party anywhere, anytime you'd like. ;) 

I'm loving these heels and so tempted to also get them in the maroon. Why is it so hard not to buy things for yourself when you go Christmas shopping for OTHERS? Ha! Anyway, this jacket is old, but I still love it. I'll link similar ones below. 

I can't believe Christmas is 8 days away! I haven't wrapped ONE gift yet and still have shopping to do. Oops. Hope you guys are enjoying the holidays and not too overwhelmed. I know I get majorly overwhelmed this time of year with gifts, family, sickness, traveling, hosting, etc. I was feeling SO overwhelmed and exhausted. So I took two days completely off from life. My babies and I stayed inside in our pjs for TWO DAYS! It was amazing and just what the doctor ordered. Popcorn, coffee, movies, snuggles, coloring, etc. Lots of fun relaxing with my cuties. I told my husband I needed this break and some time to just chill. Yet, he still came home both days saying, "are you still in your pjs???". LOL!!! DUUUUHHHH, that was the whole point! And I loved every minute of it. :)

Happy Saturday! Is it sweater weather in CO yet?? I can't wait for cooler temps! This date night outfit is so comfortable and easy! These floral printed jeans are really old from Forever 21, but I'll link similar ones. I always get compliments on these jeans. I think just because they're different and fun. And I love these booties! I love open heel and/or open toe booties. Cutest. This bag is a copy of a really expensive bag I wanted and I love it! I really dig cross body bags (or all sizes!). Have I mentioned I'm a bag hoarder? Oops! :) :)
