Little Bijou Bows GIVEAWAY!

Hey guys! Blakely and I are so excited about our newest GIVEAWAY! We have teamed up with Little Bijou Bows to giveaway a $20 gift card! You can take this money and purchase whatever item floats your boat. But good luck buying just a couple. I can't stop myself from the adorable colors, prints, styles, etc and suddenly I'll have 15 different bows in my online cart. Ooops! :) But seriously, the cutest bows ever. Since I have found these bows, I have a hard time putting anything else on Blake. A HUGE bonus is that they are one size fits all! I was getting so frustrated when Blakers was a little baby and she could only wear her bows a couple times before they were too small. Feels like such a waste. So I'm loving the fact that she will be able to rock these dainty, adorable bows more than once! LOL

Head over to my Instagram (whatsup_buttarcup) to see how to enter this giveaway. I will be promoting this on multiple social media sites, but you can only enter through Instagram. Good luuuuck and don't forget to tag your mommy friends who you think would also like to enter the giveaway. You can check out their shop here!

Oh, and now I have an excuse to post a bunch of random pictures of Blakes, right?! :-D So here are just a few. HA! Love this little lady bug.

Ok, that was a LOT of random pics. LOL But can you blame me? Look at those cheeks!! :) :) :)

Shop Denver

This is one of the comfiest outfits! I recently went by Fabrik (I can't allow myself to go there very often because I want everything!) and got this shirt. You guys have to feel it. It's amazingly soft! It's so comfortable and long enough to pair with leggings. This boutique is awesome. It isn't crammed like a lot of boutiques can be. What's so amazing to me is that they remember me! Not only me, but my kids!! I walk in, they remember Ryder's name and give him stickers which is adorable and so amazing of them. Who doesn't love it when people Ooo and AAhhh over their kids?! I'm always so impressed by the wonderful women who work there.

This necklace is a new fav. As I like to say, turquoise is my love language. ;) I love everything about this necklace! I got it from Denver Street Boutique and it is made locally here in Denver. This coffee mug is another local company that makes the best stuff! I've been taking this cute tumbler from Aspen Lane everywhere because it's adorable and also, moms need coffee. We go together like mac n cheese... Am I right?! Most of the time, it's survival mode and having a cute coffee mug brings a little bit of happiness to my very early mornings! (PS: Aspen Lane also sells adorable custom pillows, baby blankets, etc. All great gift ideas.)

This clutch always grabs my eye. I really dig it and it comes in other colors as well. I love that it isn't super bulky so I can throw it in a bigger bag, if necessary, or wear it as a cross-body bag (chain included). And who doesn't love a fab nude heel? I have an obsession with nude shoes of all kinds. The shoe I'm wearing is a copy of Valentino's. It is much cheaper and equally adorable. I love this heel so much with the T strap.  I got them in two colors! They are the perfect height.   They never force me to walk like my feet are strapped in a torture chamber. I get really nervous carrying babies while wearing heels that are too high, but this height is very comfortable.

I gravitate to this Tory Burch wrap bracelet because it goes with everything! I can easily dress it up or down and this tan color matches anything I put on. Of course I have to mention my diamonds from Hadley's House of Diamonds. They can make you anything you want! In any price range. You truly feel like royalty when you shop there. Who doesn't love that?! If you're looking to upgrade your wedding ring, simple diamond studs, simple dainty necklaces, anniversary gifts, etc. They can do it all and I promise you will not be disappointed! If you're interested in designing something (or buying something they carry) I'd love to work with you to create the perfect piece!

And these jeans! Easily my new favorite distressed denim. Again, so soft and stretchy. I love the ultra distressed look and another bonus: They aren't super long! I have short legs and always need to get my pants hemmed. Well, I should get my pants hemmed. But most of the time I am too lazy to take the extra step and skip the hemming process. Leaving me with way too much fabric to roll up at the bottom! But these are perfect. Even if you have longer legs, I think jeans look cute when they show a little skin/ankle.

This whole outfit can be easily worn day or night by changing just a few things. Swap out the heels for some Converse, Uggs or flip flops and you're ready to chase after your kids! So easy to take off the necklace so you can baby-wear and throw the rest of my hair into a messy pony to get it out of the way. And like I mentioned above, this clutch is small enough to throw into my diaper bag or a larger tote that I always have with me when I'm running around with kids.

Dressing Blake might be my number 1 hobby these days. HA! I just love these bows from Splendid and those leopard moccs? I die. Adorable! Also, her rolled up chambray. HA! I love it. And her chubby wrist. She just woke up before taking these pictures and I don't think she was quite ready for her glamour shots yet. ;) Sweet girl. I love her OH SO MUCH! Her arm around that flamingo?! Stop it. Just too much cuteness!! And Ryder's not in these pics because he hates it and has way more fun running around playing on the "slippery" snow. I try not to torture him with pictures more than necessary. LOL!

Snake Skin Dress + Blakely Gray

Ok, sorry if a few of my future posts look a little "holiday" inspired. They were. I'm a little behind in posting, oops. But this girl! UGH. I just want to swish those cheeks! Stone face. I love it. Sometimes she even "scowls" and I kinda love that, too. LOL This dress is so easy to throw on for work, church, a night out, etc. So cute. I've also paired it with leggings and Uggs for a more casual look and I loved that as well.

I love this little clutch! It's a cheapo I snagged from TJ Maxx a few years ago, but I'll link similar ones. Blakely's outfit is something I have mixed and matched from Carters. The leggings have a little sparkle in them which is freaking adorable. And these moccs. I have a mocc addiction. And bow addiction. Oops. :-)))))

OMG THOSE CHEEKS!!!!!!!!

I can't take it! I squish her all day long. I promise she loves me. ;-)

This little squishy love bug. Just the cutest!

My exact dress from Denver Street Boutique is sold out. But this one is similar and I love!

Cowl Neck + Leopard

Hey guys! I've gotten a lot of questions about this pom pom beanie I was wearing in a picture I posted. I love this beanie and actually went back and got it in another color! LOL Who doesn't love a good beanie this time of year? Especially in CO.

I also love this comfy shirt and the cowl neck is awesome. I think I've mentioned before that I love this because it feels a bit like wearing a scarf but without it being heavy and overwhelming. Sometimes scarves are just too much! LOL And these jeans are so stretchy and I love them. They are old and I have definitely gotten a lot of use out of them! Everyone (especially moms!) needs a good pair of jeans that are forgiving.

And these booties. I just love them! They are a very comfortable height and I love the cut of them. I will also link the lip color I am wearing below. Hope you guys enjoyed the holidays and spending time with family and friends! :) Love to all!

Ice Skating Adventures

Tooth had the day off so we decided to go ice skating this afternoon! I have been wanting to do this, but always worry about it being too cold to go in the evening with the little ones. The weather today was perfect! So we packed up the kiddies and went up to Evergreen for the day. Ryder has never been ice skating and I don't think he's even seen it, so he was confused when we were telling him about how you "skate on ice". We tried to explain, "like slipping or sliding. It's fun!" LOL Maybe not the best explanation. Anywho, my friend went a couple weeks ago and recommended we take the stroller out to use it as a security so we don't eat it. Good thing she told me this because OMG skating is much harder than I remember it being! (Help me, I'm old!!!) I can't imagine trying to wear Blakely and skating around. Disaster!! So we took out the stroller and thankfully they also had little "helpers" the kids used to not slip and fall every 5 seconds. I saw the little kids using these as we were walking up and thought, "HA! Rookies!" But OMG. Thank GOD I grabbed one for Ryder. Because I ended up using it almost the entire time. LOL!!! I got a little confident at the end and tried doing a couple turns. I never fell but... It was not pretty. Ha! Love little adventures with our family! Makes my mommy heart so happy!

Ryder was nervous watching the people skate around. I can't blame him!! He's a "sit back and watch" kid the first time he does something new. He also still really misses his binki and sometimes sucks on his fingers. Which is so gross (germaphobe!!) but also so sweet to me. I just love him SOOOO MUCH!!

Snug as a bug in a rug. Bundled up in her stroller. Happy little girl!

We tried to get Ryder to "skate". We didn't get him skates, but thought he might have fun sliding around and slipping on the ice. But he did NOT enjoy it. It totally freaked him out. Poor guy. Again, can you blame him?! But he was more than happy to ride in the stroller and watch the other kids skate around. And he loved when I started doing "turns" and thought that was, "SO cool! Awesome, mommy!!!"

Tim and I were dying laughing at each other trying to skate. I'm literally grinning just thinking about it now. We both looked like baby giraffes learning to walk. With wobbly ankles. HA!!

Ok, so here I am. Being awesome, obviously. I was laughing so hard at the fact that I needed this thing. I was NOT confident on the ice for most of the time we were there and SO happy they provided these things. Whatever they are called?! I kept saying, "I look like the old guy from UP!" And no, these balloons are not photoshopped in. ;-)

Sweet little girl was so happy to get out of her stroller and look around at everything. She has been so smiley lately and smiles at people as they walk by. Melting one innocent heart at a time.

After we got "warm chocolate" (Ryder is afraid of anything "hot") and snacks Ryder was so happy to be back on dry land! Random mom moment: I kinda love when Ryder has food on his face. He seems so little and innocent. Before I had babies and I saw kids with food on their face or shirt I would think, "ewwww... Seriosuly?! You aren't gonna wipe off your kids face?!" But now I just think it's kind of adorable and it melts me. Tell me I'm not the only one?! So he rode home singing "twinkle little star" with Doritos all over his adorable face and I just wanted to squish him I love him so.

Blakely Gray - 5 Months Old

Our little Blakely girl is FIVE months old. She is SO much fun! December was a big month for her. She rolled onto her tummy on December 8th during her nap in crib. I saw her on monitor and was in shock! And it always kinda scares me when they start rolling over in their crib because their necks aren't very strong yet. Since then she's rolling all over the place! She is better at rolling over her left shoulder and still struggles to get to her back from tummy. But she's getting so strong! And it's so cute how proud of herself she is when she's rolling around. :)

She had her first official giggle December 14th while playing with mommy on the couch. My heart! OMG I love her so much. Best. Sound. Ever!!!! The past couple weeks she has really started to giggle and finds lot of things funny. Tooth can always make her smile and giggle. And she loves to smile and coo at Ryder. Whenever she makes eye contact with him he says, "EYES!!". LOL So cute.

Blakely loves being around daddy and stares at him in awe. LOL So cute. She's also been sleeping through the night (she goes to bed around 7:00pm gets a "dream feed" around 10:30pm. Goes from 10:30-7:00am) the past week or so and both mommy and daddy are loving the extra Zzz's! She is such a happy baby! Everyone is always asking us if she's always "that chill". And, yes! She's just a delight! Ryder was the same way as a little baby and people were always in shock that he was so "good" all the time. I guess we've been very lucky with babies that are chill and easy to soothe.

Ryder has been interested in playing with Blakely lately. She can't really "play" yet but he shares his snacks, balls and toys with her sometimes. Which is just adorable. I can't wait to watch them play together and have little conversations.

****

Sooo... I wrote this on the 30th (her official five month mark). I also took the sweetest five month old pictures of her with flowers, like I always do. Ryder even layed next to her and smiled for the camera. Then somehow, my computer erased them!!!?!? OMGGGGGG I might cry. Thankfully, those were the only pictures that magically disappeared. My brother works for Apple and is a computer wizard. I'm hoping he can help me figure out where they are and somehow retrieve them?! But for now... Here's what you get: a random selection of iPhone pics.

She loves standing! Which is so cute but seriously, STOP GROWING UP SO FAST!

This girl lovessss to get naked and roll around. She is so happy when nakey!

This girl and her duck lips! This reminds me so much of Ryder and every now and then she looks SOOO much like him as a baby. Gives me major flash backs and I kind of love it.

Love to suck on those toes! Which I just love. :)
